I've now done 2500 miles on my 6-week-old Hyperstrada. What a fun machine, now permanently in sport mode after doing some touring in France.

1 niggle is a bit of a flat spot at around 6000 revs - that's a bad place for no oomph on French motorways, once through it it's fine. Also I need to change my left foot position so I don't keep scraping it on the road. The luggage is a bit tight in its fittings, I have to thump it to remove it.

Next year the Alps are calling me.

The luggage fix is easy, I read a thread on the hyperstrada specific forum and you unscrew the catch and grease the internals. Now really easy to remove.

Cheers, DucRento, any chance of a link to that? Grease which internals, on the bike or on the luggage?

No sweat, just found it - http://hyperstrada.com/ducati-hypers...anniers-2.html

And here - http://www.atnet.co.uk/ducati-hypers...ove/index.html

Cool. (Or not so, shouldn't need this hassle!).

I did a 137 mile ride yesterday and used 2.2US gallons that equates to a little over 62 mpg!

Did another trackday recently, at NY Safety Track.
Switched on & off with my GSXR750.

Guess which I had more fun on
The bike continues to be impressive.

Nice to ride a 20-30 min session and feel refreshed rather than pretzeled.

Don't know if your familiar with Jamie over at Motogeo but he does a lot of fun stuff on motorbikes and it was good to see him having fun on the Hyperstrada.

Motogeo

It was fun I just wish he would have talked more about the bike...

Keep on eye out on their youtube account, anytime they do one of those rides where they show the food, the loaction etc etc, in a couple of weeks they will post a review of the bike they did it on. You will find a bike reveiw after every single ride report done in the last year or so.

Question for yall hypertistas: Would it be better to get the better suspenion and travel from the sp and add the necassary bits to make it a beast, or would it be better to get the strada and potentially upgrade the suspension? Thinking seriously about these bikes as I think both the Multi and KTM 990/1290 are too big/too much for me right now.

Also, I'm svelt 6'2 and the ergos per cycleergo look pretty good, but what say yall with real world experience?

I haven't ridden the SP Motard so I'm not familiar with the suspension and to wither it's any upgrade. The only thing you could not buy and add to the SP would be the power outlets there are 2 of them they are welded to the frame. There is an upgrade to the forks, one currently I'm aware of a company out of Italy called Andreani but I'm sure others will follow soon such as Race Tec.
