Cooper could also turn to his other talents to secure the Cup for his team....

A lot of possession and territory, but they couldn't turn it into anything.

Quade Cooper tackling practice no doubt

Honestly Stu - he may be a great player at Super Level but cant step up to International ... maybe a future at Hong Kong 7's or as Sonny Bills second?

The coaching staff is heading for the door. Only Tolkin left....affable fella but may be time to look around. Bad timing....most of our Eagles play in the UK or France. November tests will likely mean mostly using our players who play dommesticly.

Easy I know Mike - He's an awesome guy that knows rugby very well, he's been involved since high school daze.

No matter who coaches the Eagles, its tough to get guys who are experienced as players from the bigger rugby countries. Bottom line is the USA has way too many sports that rank higher in appeal than rugby. Sad really, as I think it's one of the best sports in the world.

Some areas of the country have grown the youth programs, Bucks Cty, Pa. & NYC prep schools have always had teams are 2 in particular that I'm aware of.

Problem growing at the youth level in US is liability. Too many lawyers, too few ropes.

They are already after football and that is protected. Little Johnny cannot play, without a helmet, a contact game.

Hmmm - I think if U took the helmets away from football, there would be less head injuries & lots of peeps agree.

Cause Ya got to>>>

No disagreement on that. But neither of us would make the jury.

ETA - I'm fortunate enough to live in Baltimore, where there's a really good rugby program (next Old Boys game, Sept 14th, woop woop!). I know they're trying to grow a foundation to promote youth rugby, and at least one high school has a team.

So what chance have the Argies against the Wallabies?
The Pumas pushed the All Black scrum around at times - if they repeat that, the Aussies could be in trouble.

I think the Pumas are going to get the crap kicked out of them the entire tournament (I'm actually surprised they scored against NZ), but my hope is that the Argies will go home angry and come out next year ready to eat lead & spit nails.

If the Argies keep it in tight, I think they could surprise the Aussies.
