I have the older yellow model, works great.

by the way, if you order online shipping is only $6.99 so almost worth while to let them do the delivery (at least for me it'd be a 50 mile round trip drive.

The jack will hold my bike stable because I have a wide lower frame like a Harley Davidson.If I lift the bike off the ground,I strap it down.I mainly use it to hold my bikes upright because few of them have center stands.

I have not used any straps, though it's probably not a bad idea. As mentioned, I'm usually just using it to level the bike out, not really go very high. Often I have the front wheel on the groud still, just the rear up to clean/lube the chain.
