If you're ever in Lithuania, try visiting this place http://www.auksiniselnias.lt/index-aplinka_En.html

It is an excellent place to stay and has an on site museum which is well worth a look.

Museum hours are 9-5pm daily. Which isn't unreasonable. It probably just means the curators need to make it to local diner for senior discount...

That post will go up on 9/10. Posts are going up just about every day.

There were only a few bikes in the pictures although the exterior of the museum looks interesting. Were there a lot of bikes or just a handful?

Never been to the museum, but I saw the bikes in a shed (before the creation of the museum). About fifty bikes, all meticulously restored, all property of the same fella. The star of the show is a R32 from 1923.

Missed your post by one day since I was enroute to the UK and one place I wanted to go to again was this http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/

While this isn't a strictly motorcycle museum, it does have a lot of bikes as well as autos of all kinds, race cars, fire engines, etc. This will happen next year: http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-e...le-ride-in-day

And not far down the road is the Sinsheim Museum. Cars, bikes, planes.
