I'd kind of hate to. It would seem like such a waste.

OK... really nice shop, probably don't want to burn it down. But it IS in the middle of the desert, so selling sounds like the best bet

Would you look at all that room. Put a little spider house in the corner and name it Spike. Hang it's picture with beware of guard spider and your set.

Nice spider

How do you like your lift. Did you do much thinking on 2 post vs 4 post?
I was just about ready to buy a 4 post then my wife and I started looking at a different house I got scared it would be one more heavy piece to have to move. Nice shop, please dirty the place up a bit, does not look like you are using it. Or at least come over and clean mine up, I have organization envy. SN

I clean up after each job. That way it doesn't get out of hand.

2 vs 4
It would be nice to have one of each! A two post lets you have much better under car access. There's not as much lift in the way. A 4 poster is really nice for ease of getting the vehicle up in the air. For general use, you'd almost have to have rolling jacks with the 4 post. Of course with a 4 post a guy could start thinking about alignment equipment.

I pick them up all the time, they're not dangerous to humans. If they're pissed off they can release little irritating hairs from their abdomen, which can cause itchy eyes/runny nose etc. But they wont hurt you.

Go read about the "Tarantula Hawk" and you'll probably feel sorry for the fuzzy bugger and try to go catch him and keep him as a pet.

Not as bad as the rattlers that make it into the shop a few times a year. They love crawling into the 4-post lift. Ground level, lots of dark space to hide in. Bad part about being out in the desert.

Boss got on my case about the black widow webs in the corner. I laughed. Pointed out that they are not black widows, they are daddy long legs. And see all those dead flies at the bottom of the web? Those are the annoying flies he has been taking care of for us. So that one is now the shop pet.

What gets spooky is every couple of years you go out into the parking lot and find cat prints on the hoods of some cars. Each print is the size of a saucer plate, and that doesn't count the claw marks. That is when you really don't want to be walking around by yourself.

Been doing a large landscaping project at my house over the past couple of weekends (rockeries & placing 60 yds. of fill) - quit at dinner time Sunday evening, dropped the dirty clothes in the laundry room before heading upstairs to shower. Hear a nice little scream from the wife shortly after... headed back down and there was one of those bastards, sitting under the clothes I had just dropped. STOMP! Don't quite know how it ended up there, but must have been on me somehow.

Not sure what the sting is like either and would rather not find out.

I had a helper during a remodel,
I stepped on one once going out the gate, but he had just had a
lizard for lunch, and I just got lizard blood all over
my pants where he tried to strike.
Got to love AZ.

Snakes don't bother me that much... besides, rattlers usually warn you before you get too close (although they're learning to not rattle near humans... read up, scary shit). But for some reason creepy crawlies make me bug out a bit. Excuse the bad pun...

I'm buying a tarantula tomorrow, best idea ever. I'll be able to hide any thing in my shop, because my wife will never go out there.
