Question Tourist asking questions

Hey Utards,

I'm riding my KLR up from New Orleans to visit my buddy in SLC for a 2 weeks. I plan on coming up through New Mexico or Colorado. We planning to go to Yellowstone and Moab each weekend, but I'll need some riding advice for the weekdays in between when I'm around SLC by myself and they're working.

I'm looking for some dual sport and offroad trails around Salt Lake City. They're working as guides around Snowbird, so maybe some day or overnight trails around there.

I want any and all can't miss rides! Please include any interstate alternatives on the way there. Thanks! :

Hey Yogoi, thanks man....yeah maybe its time for that new "R" model we talked about last time ha-ha.

I am still in that " I wonder what the insurance company is going to cover" stage right now....oh and shock and disbelief that she's gone

It will be interesting to hear what the Insurance company covers with all your extras. Looks like you had a cj Designs clutch cover as well? Those are pricey. Rekluse maybe?

Do the Police ever recover bikes here? I'll keep my eye on KSL and Ebay for you.

The doctors handy work... He accidentally used a rail road spike for the tibia fracture, but the rest looks good. Now recovery starts.

Wife wants to replace it quickly. She was looking forward to some fall color rides. Any suggestions?

Still have the 690, so I'm not even sure we need a big adventure bike. Her main requirement is a comfy back seat.

Kevin, Here is how my negotiations with the insurance company went:
