Agree sounds awfull, obvously won't tickover.
I'm afraid I don't beleive that speedo either
Toped out at 158km 98mph.
Didn't seem to be passing traffic that quick.

Not much of a review, but they do have a "Grom Prix" about halfway through.

The speedo reads off the transmission's final drive.Any sprocket changes will affect the accuracy of the speedo reading.

Ono of the local Honda dealerships has a neat little grom on the floor.. too bad they want $3700 for it.

The dealerships are starting to realize that these little bikes are taking off and they are trying to capitalize on them. The most I will do is $3500 OTD.More than that,I'd go for the CB500X or F.

Actually, I will make another comment about the power curve of the Grom.

When I ride the Grom, I can tell that the "sweet spot" is between 5,500 and 7,500 rpm. The curve confirms it. It also shows that the power declines in the higher revs. I can again confirm that the Grom will reach its top speed between 7,000 and 7,500 rpm. After that, nothing. It won't go any faster.

What the curve tells us is that it's useless to rev the Grom to its maximum rpm as it won't make it go any faster. It's best to ride the torque in the lower rev range and let the power take over in the higher rev range. It may only be 9 HP but they're all there.

I think Honda did a very good job.
