I removed the stock tank's vent line and replaced it with a fuel line (6mm) that goes around the dash and then back down to the tt tank.

But it still didn't seem to work so ...

Eventually contacted this friend and found out I had to make a little bend downwards from the T-fitting (where the 2 fuel lines from the petcocks come together) and then back up to the dash etc ...

And finally it worked!

Didn't install a fuel filter and the valve in the stock tank's vent line got removed by installing the new, longer fuel line.

Good Morning Sohere,

Thank You SOOO much for sharing with me your recipe on making this TT fuel tank work without drilling. I should be doing this in about a month and will post up my step by step procedure with pics.

My Best,

Pablo

Talking More photos of the Givi bars!

Been watching this thread for a while hoping someone came up with a crash bar solution. I was just about to drop my bike off at a custom fab place for bars when I saw the post.

Can you send along some more photos?

Thanks!

super easy... just cut the left to right brace and flip it backwards to allow the bar to run across and down instead of up and across... Some spacers in the middle and you're done

Cool2

Have they held up well?

Good looking welds. What kind of welding machine did you use? What diameter are they? I'm thinking of doing an outer sleeve to double up over the re-welded section.

Thanks again for the great heads up on using the Givi Bars. It's making my winter desert riding season more exciting already.
