Me: I got a flat in the front on the way up this weekend, do you have a replacement in stock?

Gateway BMW: Sure, no problem.

Me: Would you be able to get to it today?

Gateway BMW: Sure, no problem (as the technician is wheeling my bike into the work area).

Me: My mount for my Sena blutooth broke this week, do you have any replacements on hand?

Gateway BMW: Sure, how many would you like?

Me: That F800GT looks sharp, mind if I take it for a test ride?

Gateway BMW: Sure, we'll have someone put the plate on while we're photocopying your license.

when I come back:
Gateway BMW: What did you think?

Me: It was pretty buzzy in the handlebars. I don't think it's for me.

Gateway BMW: Well, let us know if you want to take out any other bikes.

as I'm leaving:

Gateway BMW: Thanks for the business!

Some dealerships make it easy for me to part with my money, because they have what I need, they're friendly and they're efficient.

Good to know some places still offer good service.

Sometimes waiting is a good thing

Heading out for a trip next week, planned to do simple service myself but schedule, events, etc. were too prohibitive so I called the dealer (Esco BMW) yesterday, set up a time to bring my bike (F8GS) in this morning. "You bet, no problem, we'll have the bike in & out in no time."

Brought in the bike, decided to wait instead of figuring out a ride back to work. So I waited. AAAaaand I waited. Grumbling that I should have done it myself, I hunted down the service Mngr (very nice guy btw), asked if it was all set to go (it was sitting outside at this point so I figured they'd just now brought it out). "Uh, well, not quite, had a few more CHiP & sheriff bikes come in...( yeah, I know, the corporate/fleet contracts always get the attention) so he felt bad, got a Mech (good dude, know's his stuff) on it, threw me a key and said this should be a good way to burn an hour....

I didn't mind waiting a little longer...

MG V7 Racer. 100lbs lighter than a Triumph Thruxton. (& ONLY 15 less HP) - Data based on in shop heresay. I'll not be held liable for this info.
Raw, fun, flickable, fun, fun. Got back on my bike and thought "Got Dam, what a pig"

I don't mind this kind of waiting

Those are soooo pretty! Yeah, I'd have asked them to schedule my next service if I could ride that 'guzzi again!
