Yes the rear is a bit squared off due to the last day: 700 tarmac miles.

Front looks great:

FWIW: I had two days of almost entirely dirt and I ran 16-17psi rear; 18-19psi front, the traction was really spectacular (wet, loose, rocky conditions). I then went up to 24-25 rear; 25-26 front for a couple days of slightly faster conditions and a bit more tarmac, traction was still fantastic.

Thanks for sharing, I'd say a very respectable performance considering all of that tarmac. My soon to be baked 908 rear is much more worn than yours, and I'm only 1200 miles into it. I will be ordering up a new rear MotoZ tomorrow!

Oh yeah... way better lasting. Not as good on tarmac though.

950SE in Chile

Finally re-united with my 2010 950SE in Santiago de Chile after a few months. Inmate Goti kindly ran me up to the shop on his 990 with a bag of farkles on my back.

Goti tries the SE for size

After a check-over and fitting a few farkles made by Inmates from around the globe we're ready for a first ride.

Very nice bike and cool pictures of Chile.

As a side note, I believe your bike is a 2009 Erzberg edition, I have the same. The SE production years were 2006-2009. I would bet your bike has a january 2008 manufacture date listed on the sticker found on the left side of the frame (near mid-bike).

Whatever the year may be, your bike looks very fresh. You will love it!

Yes on all counts! You do know your stuff on the SE!

It's in a reasonable state. Good enough to ride straight out of the shop but I want to go through it in detail, PM on seals/bearings, fit aux socket, do the valves/forks/plugs/WPump/calipers/Oberon/clutch & ign rotor bolts/wheel brgs....oh shit!!! that means taking it all apart and starting again

Hopefully get enough done today/tomorrow so I can go out playing with the local ADV'rs this weekend...and that means it will need a wash on Monday!

It looks like it, yes. But, there's an easier way to check - there should be a sticker with the serial number on the top triple clamp. Mine is 41 (of 100).

I think SE production years was only 2006 (and possibly 2007). The 09 erzberg edition is just decals.
