How do I search for "my posts"?

Can not seem to figure a good way to search for my previous posts and I am getting old to remember all of them in all the forums I currently use :)

Any help here for an old man?

Near the top of the page is a pull down menu labeled "Thread Tools". Click the down arrow next to it and select "subscribe to thread".

You've only got 25 posts and 2 of them are in this thread.

I know this thread is old... but is there a way we could setup a custom Google search and put a link? I keep getting linked back to the original post but typing all that every time in Google sucks.

I set one up on my dropbox to showcase it.

Handy Site Search

Here is what I use. Find the "Google Site Search" button on this page http://www.imilly.com/bm.htm

then just click and drag and drop it up to your tool bar. It will drop this little Bookmarklet that lets you search what ever site you are currently on.

Question so what if you use Google chrome then?

Cool thing is that the latest Google Toolbar makes site searching really easy, with a new button dedicated to searching only the site that's currently loaded. Just enter a search term and click. Go here to d/l the latest version...

I'm new to this place and having trouble searching so I had a look at this trouble being I'm a Google chrome user and you can't use a toolbar with it or can you???? You're using Chrome, that's great. All of the features of Google Toolbar are already built into your browser. Well thats cool but how does one use it here then?

I tried using the "inurl" command to narrow my search to a specific forum, and I get some results, but something isn't quite right.

For example, I searched the Parts forum for "dr650" using the inurl:"f=53", and got back 8 results. Seems like there should be more results, but that's a different issue.

What bugs me is I click the resulting link on Google and it takes me to page 2 of the Parts forum, where the resulting topic should be... and it isn't there.

...
Same problem I am having. I just want to search for KTM parts in the flea market. Allowing 3 letter or only 'KTM' and 'BMW' 3 letter seems obvious since it's a large part of the site.

Tried this and I only find this thread... ha

I think part of the issue (besides the earlier posts in this thread correctly identifying PHP as being force for darkness) is that the threads you can only see when you are logged in aren't indexed in Google;

site:www.advrider.com "ADVrider > Riding > Ride Reports" v strom

returns: 1,820 hits

site:www.advrider.com "ADVrider > Gear > Flea Market > Parts" v strom

returns: Information No results found for site:www.advrider.com "ADVrider > Gear > Flea Market > Parts" v strom.

Might be reason enough to not buy that KLR...

And the world's prying eyes should be kept away from the basement in general, and Santa Fe Rider especially

I remember using your 2nd search method many years ago for searching the flea market. It worked fine.

I didn't realize you must now be logged in to see the flea market. That must be what has changed.

For the love of GOD, let us search with three letters on a website so dedicated to three-letter motorcycle manufacturers that you've got two sections exclusive just to them!!!!!!!

I'd like to do a search in the flea market section to buy a motorcycle from a fellow inmate, but I've yet to find a technique to search for KTM 990 that works.
