Seem to me....

Love that GMT function.
Seems to me that time to time, a company like Seiko should re-release such a watch again.
It would not have to made of Ti. It could be KLR Stainless Steal. cough.

Can anyone suggest a link to some basic "watch maintenance" instruction? I've decided to open up that ridiculously fast Seiko (mentioned here, earlier this summer).

If I fail, I'll have a nicely modded Seiko for sale soon. in case anyone wants it for face/hands/parts. Gaining 1 min/hr is just not acceptable.

Looks great. Mesh bracelets are getting very popular again.

I decided to go for a quick 15 mile bicycle ride and stop at the PO before I went home. I was lucky - the carrier was already back and I was able to pick up the package.

I'm pretty happy with the purchase - the watch was accurately described:

I'll resize the band later tonight. Apologies for the poor picture.

Thanks for the smooth transaction Michael. If you want me to post a "good guy" comment on the various watch sites or need a reference, please let me know. I suspect your reputation proceeds you though!
I am very happy to hear that the watch arrived safely. I always worry a bit about the postal system. Thanks for the kind words.

Yes, that watch has been around the world. It is a wonderful example of a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) piece that is no longer produced. It has a very accurate high grade quartz movement, and it is a "true" GMT watch in that the hour hand can be independently set which is the whole point after all.

The titanium case and bracelet are highly finished. The dial is difficult to capture in pictures, but it has an intricate pattern that is caught when the light is just right. Seiko is a wonderful company.

Enjoy!

Yeah after years of being a Swiss snob I bought a Seiko Orange Monster last year. What a great piece for $200 US. I am going to buy a 1st gen Alpinist next. I'm hooked.

Even better, it's someone that I recognize from watchuseek. We always hear about people getting ripped off on-line but you know, there are always people that you trust without hesitation. Lobby is one - we finally got to meet earlier this year. There are many others - I am instinctively trust this guy even though we've never met.

I suspect, based on his background, this watch has literally flown all over the world. A few exchanged PMs and emails later, this one will be on it's way to me tomorrow sans bund:

Thanks Michael for the transaction.
That is a beautiful watch.

TAG Heuer 2000
Purchased new in Dec 1989
Still wear it daily, see no need to replace it.

Dropped my Tag Aquaracer 2000 the other day. Any ideas on where to send it for repair? I broke the sapphire crystal and it needs new seals. I did find Govberg Watch Repair on line so any feedback would be appreciated.

Nice little conchoidal fracture

This is my second Tag, the first one I wore for 18 years and wore the crown flat. If this works out I'll send that one in too.

I brought mine to the local jewelry store that is an authorized retailer. They sent it to the national (regional?) repair center and went through it about two years ago. Look and see who the nearest retailer is and talk with them, see what they have to say.

I think this should be recorded for posterity's sake.
