The ADVrider Tent Space has been active for almost six years now. As of this post, there are places to crash in all 50 US states and dozens of other countries around the world.

Here's a place to show how cool this idea really is. Have you stayed with anyone? Hosted anyone? Post up some pics of your Tent Space travels and tell us about it.

Well...
I've had quite a few "distinguished guests" over the past few years and it's been quite a lot of fun.

Here's what some have posted...

Hi from Sam n Sara in Smithers BC. We've had several ADVriders from around the world stay at our place this summer. So far no one has set up a tent. Everyone has stayed in our super comfy, super cool, converted bus. Best sleep ever!
Foods been pretty good too!

Here is a pic.

We have help for your motorcycle too! We are the last certified shop (truck and trailer too) before the 1000 km journey to the Yukon and the first one on the way home.

Tent Space Near Redding, CA

My wife and I have hosted several riders over the last several years and enjoyed the visit with each one... I have also used the "tent space" of others while on the road and have only had great experiences. Here is the latest rider we hosted:

He is still on the road:

Thumb Sam and Sara in Smithers, BC

I was lucky enough to stay at this great spot. Sam and Sara were more than welcoming. I actually met Sam when I was looking for a place to get my tires changed when i was on my way home from Alaska. He invited me over to set up my tent and have a couple of cold ones, which is exactly what was required after a couple long days on the road.

It so happens that I spent the night in that fantastic bus, which was by far the best sleep I've had in weeks.

If anyone gets a chance I would highly recommend giving Sam a shout or at least stopping by his shop. You will not regret it!!

Thanks Sam & Sara for your wonderful hospitality.

Ryan

Me, H14, SLiP210 and Scott P stayed at SoPaRider's Moto Manor in south central Pennsylvania. SoPaRider and his lovely wife were wonderful hosts and they live in a great area with Gettysburg and Michaux State Forest close. SoPa is also the distinguished Doctor of Michauxaugraphy. He can lead you around 200+ miles of killer gravel roads, or he can give you one or all of his 10+ turn by turn rides that will keep you at it all day.

Great idea Jamie!!! And thanks for your work on the Tent Space thread.

Frank stayed with us two nights. He said that staying with people was like letting meat sit out...after three days, it starts to stink. LOL. He had some great stories. As it happened, while he stayed here we were also hosting traveling bicyclists...one of them from Leipzig, GE. We had a lively conversation about the relative merits of capitalism vs. communism.

I had a great stay with shortbritches and his wife in Ft. Madison Iowa. We seemed to all hit it right off right away and he had a great shop and a comfy bed to sleep on. Then there was the pork tenderloin at the neighboring watering hole that was delicious. This is a 5 star stay for anyone crossing the Miss river in/out of IA. We even have future rides planned as a result. He is available best by PM.

We enjoyed each others ADV stories. Hope our paths will cross again another day!!
