The dealer emailed a couple of pics - my bike arrived in Austin late this afternoon (Tuesday) and I should pick it up Thursday once the aux lights and TT panniers and top box are installed. Red bike with white springs.

It was about a 60 mile ride from the dealership to my house.

She runs and handles like a dream. It actually feels smoother than the 2013 that I took for a demo ride, no excessive vibrations or buzziness at all.

Transmission shifts have a very "direct" feeling, I wouldn't consider it clunky like some have reported. Yes first gear clunks, but I think some people are overreacting on this too.

I didn't notice any heat coming from anywhere while riding. (65-60ish degrees outside)

Bike came with Michelin Anakee 3's, I haven't ridden enough to give any kind of review on them. I have heard good things about them though.

The only slight annoyances I noticed were that I kept accidentally pressing the multicontroller when using the turn signals (started to get used to it toward the end of the ride), and the "self cancelling" turn signals don't seem to self cancel (might be operator error)

All in all, I am a very happy camper right now!
Congratulations on your bike.
Thanks so much for all the great pictures and for the brief ride report as well.
Mine is loaded onto a boat in Bremerhaven today
I hope that the time my shoulder will be ready and my bike is ready will coincide five weeks from this coming Saturday which is 16 November
it's a long time to wait but it will be well worth it and just in time for the cooler writing weather in Florida
again, thank you for sharing with us and i hope that you'll post a lot more when you have a chance

It's so much more civilized than my Ducati.

Grmbl. Mine is still not here. If it takes much longer they can keep it.

Basically told my dealer the same thing... Didn't order the bike months ago to miss the October riding season and park it in my garage to look at it over the winter....lo and behold my bike will be in my hands by the weekend. Makes me wonder. That squeaky wheel rally does get the grease. My fault for being to laid back maybe.

I would call around and see if another dealer has one you like if your not having luck getting yours. It looks like there were quite a few arriving last week in California.
