If it comes with ABS here in America that would be nice.

If it's a Downtown, and it seems to be, it's a good thing.

There is however a bit smaller scoot that came out recently from Kymco
with the same engine but overall lighter package that I think would make
more sense for Kawasaki and being sporty, it's called the K-XCT.

The K-XCT is only 360lbs dry, and has 28hp.
It'll do 60mph faster then the Majesty 400, or Burgman 400 and the
rest of the lot, but then again, so will Downtown.

Downtown is 400lbs, 30hp and will do 11 seconds to 62mph stock,
and about 9 seconds to 62mph with 1,5 gram lighter Dr Pulley sliders.

That's faster then a Piaggio BV500, Gilera Nexus 500 etc (40hp scoots).

It'll also do over 90mph.

12k mile MPG average on mine was 59MPG, with 70-72MPG possible if
cruising around 60-65.

Wink You'd be surprised

quotes:

"For some reason the powers in the Far East believe we want scooters that look like a small boat from the 50's. I'll never understand."

"I'm pretty sure my next scoot will be a PCX150. I don't do any highway riding, mostly in town and coastal roads. A maxi scoot would be overkill for the kinda riding I do."

These sound like comments from those who have never been on one, or made up their minds that they wouldn't like it no matter how it ran. As someone who has ridden 50+ years of normal MCs, I will never go back to a shifter type again for around-town riding. On my Forza, for example, the 428 lb weight distribution is amazingly better than a normal bike of equal weight. It simply handles easier, period. Case in point: I made the stupid mistake of letting my MC registration lapse after my last Honda v45 was sold, and recently had to take my skills test on the Forza. On the day of the test, I was there with 5 other sport bikes / cruisers, ridden by younger riders. When it was time to start the testing, they all pointed at me, laughing, and said "Him First!". I aced the test, with no errors whatsoever- even though I could tell they all thought it was a boat. I was the only one there with that distinction; 3 of them didn't pass; two just barely, with multiple foot jabs, missed cones. The ones that passed approached me after the tests, and we had a great conversation, with some sitting on a scoot for the first time. The ones that failed, rode away pissed, without talking to anyone.

At minimum, try one to see if it fits. If it doesn't, no problem, but at least you might be able to understand why some of us love our scoots. I am totally addicted to it now.
