Thanks! Yeah, that one I need to figure out, most of the time if I just pop the shots off in Apeture priority, photoshop and lightroom deal with it, and stitch it just fine. Not sure why that one had such issues. If you know of a good free program that might help solve that, let me know. I shot all of them RAW and did the normal lightroom -> photoshop to stitch them method that I always do. That shot also had 4 shots more that made it a full 360* and PS wouldn't line those files up to match, I probably should do some reading on how to match up the exposure to get them to stitch properly.

Your shots are all amazing as well, I have a couple of crater lake similar to that, as well as one at Helen lake in Lassen, but I really like the color and geometric effect your have.

Here is a winter shot from Crater.

And a shot from Lassen very similar to yours, but later in the year with no snow.

Thanks Dewey316! I am using the freeware Microsoft ICE, which I found to fade the transitions much smoother and almost always recognizes 360 degree panos. Hell, I even handhold many of them. I too shoot most of the time in Aperture Priority. Shooting in manual mode would lock in the same exposure level, but this often doesn't work well with very wide panos. Make sure you set the white balance the same for them as well. When I've shot a set in aperture priority I check the shutter speed in each and will adjust the exposure level so the skies will be as close as possible. Blue skies often need some cloning and declarifying to reduce the obvious transitions. Whatever you are doing now works well for most as the others you posted are nicely executed.

I don't see many people making this much work for themselves, but I've been shooting many exposure brackets in aperture priority. I then tonemap each set with the same settings before stitching them. The tonemapping brings all of them to the same exposure level. The Crater Lake panos and the Lassen B&W are HDRs.

Here is the same Crater Lake HDR in B&W. It is from 24 exposures and 210 degrees wide.

I put the camera in manual, pick a reasonable f/stop, and use its metering to find the right shutter speed to get an average exposure of the whole area (eg, sweep back and forth while reading my exposure, and try and find a happy medium). or just use the sunny 16 rule, on a bright sunny day, set the aperture to f/16 and the shutter speed the same as the ISO (1/400 for ISO400). ok, you probably don't have 1/400, so use 1/500. your RAW mode has way sufficient latitude to deal with it.

The falls are impressive and have some heft to them. Not Niagara, but there is a plum of mist that does rise from this one.

These are the Fall leaf colors as of today.

Thanks to a great tip in this thread, MS ICE is putting photos together for me.

View from the back of Nymboida Coach House...hardly compares to those amazing Grand Canyon ones earlier, but a nice place to stay.

Always good-lookin' photos, but these shots with the yellow leaves, blue sky, and the earth tones are exceptional. Nice timing for the shoot. I'm guessing these are Birch trees with the white bark?

I just rode over that yesterday... I even thought, "I should get a shot of this bridge". Then I thought, "eh... Some other day". Nice shot.
