Sure enough! The Mefo on my 990 says "Tubetype" on the side. I have changed a few of those and also pulled the stock Scorpion off the 990. I don't recall any of them being particularly difficult.

Any other tire than the K60 and the side stand works fine. I had the bike basically balanced on the side stand on the bead and that sucker wasn't budging. I was getting worried about busting the side stand.
