Nice! I bought what could be your Kangaroo's big brother, a 501 Camel, new in 1986. Back in the day, the front and rear disk brakes and the suspension were quite good for a dual sport. I put over 40,000 miles on it before it was replaced with an XR600R. Watch the cam belt and control cables.

sweet! i'd love to get one of those but they don't have em here in the states. BTW- its a magneto ignition, so the battery has nothing to do with it running- you can take it out and it will start and run just fine without one.

Looks to be in good condition.

I've had a couple of roadster morinis, a 500 and a 350. Enjoy.

Thanks Rob. I AM enjoying it loads. What a peach of an engine. Despite the fact I am finding it difficult to get it to pull much above 4000rpm. I must have something amiss but cant so far find it.

Im getting very fast at whipping of the seat/tank/carbs and air box......

once you fix the 4000rpm problem the fun will begin- that engine likes 5-7k (max torque is around 6k)so you have not even tried it on yet.

The sticker proves it- most bikes don't need a warning label to not run the bike without a battery. that is, btw, just to save your lights. the battery acts as a sink that absorbed energy fluctuations that will blow your bulbs.
