How do you check your oil level??

I used a little inspection mirror and some times a flash light on an old gl1100 I had.DB

Same as DB, inspection mirror on an extendable rod. Think it came from Harbor Freight.

No, no. That's all wrong. First you run the engine for 10 minutes to warm up the oil. Then you drain the oil into a clean container. Then you remove the oil fliter and drain the oil from the filter into the same container. Then you pour the oil from the container into a graduated beaker like this--



See how much oil ya got. Then return the oil to the motor.

Make up Mirror

When I picked up my new to me K100/EML rig I found a make up mirror in the rig. The kind found on the back side of a car sun visor. My thoughts were that this was there to be kind to the wife type passenger. Then I tried to check the oil. Harold in Kansas

One of those mirrors on a stick things is what I used on my k bike outfit. Worked well.
