It is a traction control, possible to turn off by a button on the bars. It makes a huge difference on hard underground, in the sand you simply turn it off.

But I wonder if you guys know what this is :)

Too late mate :) Tony got it right.. I know, the silver head cover is confusing, but big boys changed the engine from Morocco for less angry one.

Video may have been entertaining but a movement in the direction of the video will kill supercross and motocross even faster. Dumbing the sport down for the short attention span.

I'd shed no tears if supercross, as it is today, would disappear.

I suppose you are talking about this video and it is mesmerizing. Maybe because it's not inside a baseball stadium.

Yip, same as the Dakar Spirit. Gone are the days where the riders all got lost in the desert, or when they all rocked up at the bivouac but the plane was delayed due to a sandstorm or something. The days where EVERYONE slept in the open in tents and there was not enough food.

Now its all about big teams, flashy gear and bikes, loots of moolas, fancy UV's, plush sleeping arrangements and plenty of spare engines.

Sigh............

Oh, and don't forget, short stages. This year they are only doing little loops everywhere and half the distance. What kind of a test is that? The Heroes Legend has more spirit to be honest.

But I'm just being grumpy, so I will instead focus on the positives:

Maybe these guys can address this for us in their new rallies:

Hogwild - Diabolical Rally 2014
Camelman - Amageza 2014
Scotty - Baja 2014

Hopefully we will see these 3 rallies come into their own very soon and with improving technology we will soon be able to follow live helmet cam video of the guys out there.. can you imagine that?

I'm working on the software to take that live helmet cam feed, automatically map the course, and also send that feed live to the guy right behind so he knows what bumps he's about to hit! Then we can eliminate the actual desert and run the whole thing in a game booth with hydraulic simulated bumps. With so many expenses eliminated, the entry fee will be only $100. Then everyone who dreams of it can race Dakaromatic.

Dont forget to add that this would all take place in a baseball stadium filled with fireworks, big screen tv and loud PA system.

Thank goodness its less than 60 days until the Dakar.
