Oh no! I misread the lambda the wrong way around! That's extremely lean. 3.144 would equal to an Air to fuel raito of 44:1! So it probably is an air leak. Investigation time.

Could an exhaust leak also cause this sort of reading? It evens out when going to larger throttle. So when I was at 3/4ths of full throttle, the AFR was 16:1.

What sort of intake boots do you guys use for the FCR?

Would a front wheel off a '99 LC4 (5060 WP conventionals) fit on an USD fork from a later model LC4/SXC? Would it be a direct fit including the brakes, or would I need extra doodads?

maaaaybe, the main concern is axle diameter AFAIK... you can get a doodad spacer to take up the gap where the speedo drive would go on the RHS, otherwise it should fit... just check that your newer model forks still have the 20mm axle diameter and not 26mm

Think the forks in question are from a '03 SXC 625. If the price is right I'll inquire as to the axle diameter. I like the 5050's, but also like the modern look of USD forks.

5060 will have a 17mm axle. The Adventure model forks will have brake caliper lugs for a 300mm brake disc, an SC or other model will have caliper lugs for a 260mm disc...

You will need triple clamps to fit those 50's also... easiest to buy the whole front end.

Sounds more complicated & expensive than I want to get into right now. Thanks.

Sounds like the 5060's are actually the best available for LC4s. I just installed stiffer front springs, new seals and fresh oil in mine, too. Had an offer to buy a set of '02 SXC 625 forks & triple clamps for $100. Think I'll have my tired shock rebuilt instead. :)

Anyone know if an 02 LC4 front fender will fit on my 04 SXC?

Came across this ad of '07 640 Adventure parts for sale on Ebay. I thought I would share. Tank, fairing, plastics, subframe. Not bad for $1,500.

He had the parts listed in the ADV fleamarket a while back, but it looks like the whole listing was nuked... It made for quite an entertaining read as the guy blew a fit over paypal policies... The parts he has listed came from an insurance job, they were the parts that had some type of damage and were replaced under an insurance claim...

I made an offer on the subframe but we were $50 apart on the price... I'm kind of happy I didn't do a deal with the fellow as I later picked up a very good subframe for $100 cheaper than my offer to him...

How do you total a bike without damaging the plastics? It seems suspicious but I'm a conspiracy theory nut...

What I can gather from my queries with the fellow is KTM/ the insurance adjuster went over the bike and replaced anything that had a mark on it... The plastics likely have a superficial mark and that was good enough for replacement..

I also came away with a suspicious feeling from this particular parts listing and that is why I decided to go elsewhere... I do know one fellow who purchased some of the stuff and he did get it but has a story to go along with it which I haven't heard yet...
