A good friend will take you trail riding, an ADV friend will double back and say, "how did you get down there?"

What trials obstacles can you find in Omaha? Maybe piles of corn cobs?

Scoffing at us flatlanders huh? (LOL).

The trials club grounds, if you looked at a map and went almost straight south with your finger on the map, out of Omaha, then came straight east from Lincoln Ne, with your other finger until they intersected... That point would be damn near at Nehawka Nebraska.

The website and directions can be found MWTA Club Website and facebook Without double checking (meaning from memory) on that map, about 4 miles at most north of there, and about 6 miles west I think it is, on 84th Street (dirt road), heading north just past a wine tasting vinyard, at the point where the dirt road crosses a railroad and a creek is the entrance to an old Rock Quarry. Which has Nationals type terrain, I assure you. They hosted it in 2011 I think it was, and was in the running for this year (2014).

I assure you we can find more than wheat chaff and corn cobs, to take points from you mountainous region riders, plus you "cant handle" the Full horsepower of your bikes, I bet, when you get to low elevations like out here, lol. Just like I couldn't stand how my 300 ran like a 125 at Sipapau? new mexico, lol...

Hey Sting, wasn't meaning to cast any negative pall on the center of the country (just maybe the fact that we have to be some where against my will ).
Actually, we were in Bennington NE, and I thought it looked like there would be some very entertaining riding nearby, and even better pheasant hunting (but I didn't get to do any of that either). Bear in mind that even if it was flat as a pancake, if you mark out sections I would find a way to make em hard, even if they weren't

Everything I teases about above, was in Fun, hmmm. looking to see you probably drove close enough to see my house when you went by, depending on which way you went to NE.

I have kin in Omaha. We made a road trip that coincided with the Nebraska National. Kids got to ride with Mr. Bill and I got a tick.

Good times fer sure.

Nothing that I am interested in.

You have fun and be sure and take some pics of all 20 (maybe) riders for me.

Here is what a club does that is not in denial:

........or, you can wait until you are at the gate Sunday morning to see if it's OK.

There is nothing macho about scoring with temps in the teens and then riding in 20 degree weather with wind. I have a word for it, but macho is not it.

It is unfortunate that the TMs have put so much time into setting sections to have bad weather happen (even though it is not un-likely for December) but it would be a good bet that we had more riders out over Thanksgiving than there will be this Sunday.
