Exactly. It was all about HC and CO. Particulates weren't any part of the issue.

There's nothing wrong with being ignorant Jerry. I'm ignorant about certain subjects too. No one has any idea until you start typing, which you unfortunately do like it's your job.

Unburned hydrocarbons. The bane if the two stroke. Will direct injection ever allow the reintroduction of 2 stroke street bikes? Imagine the possibilities.

Now I'm just as guilty of derailing this thread..,

No there are not. They did a reveal in Milan. NOT a LAUNCH! It was a good move as the bikes will be available before next years Milan Show. Can you understand the difference Jerry?

They are busy building bikes (performance limited 500's with crash bars) to replace all the Riders Edge Bikes. It will be Months before you will see a 750 on the Showroom Floor.

5 minutes of googling tells me that the public transit buses in Chandler, AZ, run on either natural gas, or are electric/diesel hybrids.

Gee, KTM is still selling two-strokes...... I see a lot of plated two-strokes at enduros here in Ohio.
Yes, Bueller, he's got the hook out. Kinda hard to resist after a while, isn't it?

Maybe these bikes are 2 strokes

If he wants to keep pitching opportunities to make himself look like an idiot, who am I to stop him

Complete opposites, yet both undeniably internal combustion engines. And there is no smog problem in my state, other then around the airport, which has arrivals and departures about 5 minutes apart 24/7. You can see the billowing jet fuel smoke coming out of the planes. They actually operate fairly efficiently at 40,000 feet, but they are anything but at slow speeds. And they have absolutely no emissions controls at all.

As for that picture from China, I have never actually seen anything like that. It certainly did not come from cars, motorcycles, and scooters. If it really is that bad, then it HAS to be industrial pollution. Motor vehicles lack the ability to produce that kind of smog.
Did you know that NASCAR uses E15 fuel, 15% ethanol?

I'm not raising him, educating him, or rehabilitating him. I'm just slapping him when he's an idiot, which is most of the time.

Yes, but it's a good kind of pain.

Yes, they use Sunoco E15, they also use fuel injection. But it is the very primitive TBI that hasn't been used on street cars in almost 20 years. But one thing NASCAR does not use, in any way shape or form, is emissions control devices. The do still use restrictor plates, because today's cars go to fast for the tracks that were built way back when. What they need to do is build some new tracks. And at least the cars have RWD and manual transmissions. And then there's Danica Patrick.

Here's some pictures of the 500/750 being ridden. Probably in India
