This whole thing is your damned fault, ya know...You're allowed to be a "pickup adventurer". You've been grandfathered in.

You do some of these things, dontcha?.....

Yes, Scott, upon closer inspection, we DO look cold!
To be fair, it is breakfast we're eating, so it's still early.

Lol, for me going to a motorcycle event without a motorcycle is like going to a titty bar and not going inside, and having my friends come out and tell me all about it. At least from here I can look at the pictures.

Out of context quote of the day.
If you bring your fishing pole, you'll think about 'em less.
If that's possible.

Maps of the area?

Hey
I would like to purchase maps before I show up for spring brake.

Could you guys and gals recommend some specific maps and where to purchase them?

Oregon Benchmark or a DeLorme Oregon atlas & gazetteer cover it as good as it gets. Most big stores carry them. I needed one badly once in NV and found a DeLorme in the Fernley Wallmart.

The Ochoco National Forest map covers this area well, with road numbers where the big Atlases offer only a small red line on the more minor forest roads. Since the Ochoco Forest has a large Northern section and a smaller Southern section, the overlap between covers this area well. Traditionally, though, many of the Ochoco Forest roads will be covered in snow still in March/April. However, there are still LOTS of non-forest roads of all types still ridable all around camp.

Righty65 and I rode last Sunday near Corvallis. We mostly missed the frosty roads and found some sun near Philomath.

Yes, bring that motorhome so I can sleep warm... or else the cold tent for me.
