This is me last year on my '97 TW200. Great first bike, sold it a few months ago to get something a bit nicer on the road with a top speed greater than 65 and ended up with my nighthawk. Still not sure if that was a good move (haven't ridden the nighthawk much yet - too cold), but time will tell, it certainly lacks the character that the TW had.

Complete with vintage filter to fit in with the rest of you old farts!

I bought it brand new with 0 experience

I probably spent as much on repairs from the multiple waddings

Don't have any pictures of my first bike ('88 DR100), but here's my '07 GSXR 750, which was my first new bike. Got rear-ended & totaled 4 months after I bought it.

The day I got out of the hospital... looking rough.

I've ridden many, but this one is the first bike I bought with my own cash.

first bike

bought it from an importer in RI, in 1974 or so, a 1973/1974 CZ 250 enduro. you could pick it on a pallet, but i paid the $200 to have it assembled. i remember a super engine and smooth shifting, good power and a flakey light switch. a little down on HP from the motocross version, but i wanted the lights.

they show up on ebay every now and then but parts a bit scarce and, if needed, engine/trans work expensive. really liked that bike, bulletproof.

go duhamel!
