Not sure if that's the best place for drinking water; recently I went on a ride on a VERY hot day (45 deg C) and the breather hose pissed out hot fuel into those side covers, would make for a kak tasting emergency water supply

In that case, on the same ride, there was a bloke on a 990 that had auxiliary tanks in those covers, apparently made in the RS of A!! 4 litres each side and they have all the plumbing, taps and filler caps already.. I'll see if I can get his details and drop you a PM so you can find out where he got them there

Think it cost R6 000 ( rand) per tank.

Thanks. Glad you like them. I also made those pannier bags in the picture. I'm not quite done with the design yet though. They are foam lined and stand up under weight ok, but I really think they need some plastic stiffeners. After I get that worked out I will offer them at a very reasonable price.

Shouldn't have been riding but wanted to try out my new gear. I took it easy rode fireroads to elevation? Here's my bike. The new boots made a huge difference picked up the sidi something boots the ones where you can swop out the sole with a tool. I put the tank bag on the rear rack it got in my way being on the front. Still don't like it there either slaps my bumb when leaning back . It carries my water , tire irons and front and rear spare tubes and a compact bike bump along with the rest of the odds and ends for the day.
