Experience with KTM topcase for 1190?

Does anyone have experience with the KTM topcase for the 1190? It's this one:

http://www.ktmtwins.com/ktm-1190-adv...se-60312929000

I prefer soft bags for any off-road trip but for carrying a laptop or storing a helmet riding around town, a hard topcase would be good. I'm interested in the KTM version because it's priced comparably to other models and would use the rack already on the bike (I think).

Thanks!
Fergus

I have got the side bags they are not good quality but I just bought them for their look and to carry things . Anyway the top box is a joke ! They basically turn the side box to make a top box . That's wrong. Lazy and looks ugly. Buy a metal one from Ktm they are looking better and I bet they got better aerodynamic then that shit in the picture.

Yep, I got one on my 1190. It's fine but it's the same size as the left side case. So the liner bag fits in it. My Shoei Multitec fits in (sideways) as well as other stuff. It has a mount for a cig lighter socket, so I fitted one and threaded a wire through the channel out to a battery tender connector fitted under the seat. That's so I can charge my device as I ride and then I can detach it if I need to remove the top box.

If I'm commuting, I prefer to use this and leave the side cases at home, to keep the bike slim for lane splitting.

So many choices.
