Posting about local racing series? Yes/No?

Looked through the rules and didn't see anything about it. Figured I'd just ask. I do enjoy all the big race series threads but would also like to see megathreads for local racing series if there was enough call for it? I enjoy reading about the local racing series and peoples experiences all the way from Novice to Pro in them. Would there be a big enough call/would it be ok to post a local series megathread?

Our local series for me would be the Oklahoma stuff. Maybe have a OHSCS, OCCRA, and BJEC megathread? Are there enough Okie's here that race those series for it to be warranted? Or should I just do like some others have done and post my own racing experience thread and leave it at that?

Just kind of interest checking it is all. Not sure if there would be enough interested or involved in order for a thread like that to be any good. And again, not sure if that would clutter up to many things or not.

Or should that type of stuff just be posted in regional forums?

Figured I'd ask! Cheers!

it should be here. Years ago, Tbone probably started it here, followed by me, NoBrakes and on and on. Like I say, you can dream about Dakar or go race in your own backyard. Posting local stuff here has helped many inmates get out from behind the computer and onto the starting row.

Right on. Thanks for the input. Will put together an OK megathread here in a bit for the local series. We have a GP series coming up that's only three races. Basically 50% motocross and 50% trails. Looks awesome. Planning on making at least one.

Sounds great. I'll be attending several Texas Cross Country Racing Association (TCCRA)races this year.

I'll post up as best I can.

Personally, I love hearing from real Inmates going out racing. Often more than watching a multi-million wunderkind who was pushed racing minibikes since he was 3.

Right on, same here. Brings it down to a my level of riding type of report on the race which I find fun to read, also learn a lot from other experiences as well. I posted about the jday/GP race as a one off because all 3 races are coming up quick. Going to post a megathread later for all the OK stuff, OHSCS, OCCRA, and BJEC with information and links and whatnot.

The 'local' coverage is part of what made "Cycle News" so much fun.

Just trying to focus on one type. BJEC is a good circuit. More traveling, but a good family atmosphere. Wife agreed to join me at some races this year.
