To waste your rear tire in a parking lot instead of expending it out on the road? Whatever floats one's boat I guess but I'd rather be riding than dorking around like that...

I change a lot of tires on friends bikes and if the tire still has a good bit of tread left I tell them to go out and smoke it up and get their money out of it. They always come back with a big smile on their face.I even smoked the tire off of my 250 Elite .

Spray some Pam up in your wheel well / fender first, makes it a lot easier to get rubber off if you've got sticky tires.
