I needed something to mount a child seat on for the little guy. This was on my LBS' floor as a 2010 hold-over and they made me a deal I couldn't refuse:

And now it looks like this:

Our first official ride was a 30min each way trek to his class at MyGym. He loved it. And yeah, that's how he smiles for the camera.

Mine was a Windcheetah design by Mike Borrows in England, really fun and fast but with two drum brakes in the front stopping was pretty scary since they thing got the tendency to steer abruptly to one side..

Sorry I don't have pictures of it but her is one from the net.

I wish..... A gal used it to ride to the south pole. I find myself drawn to it though. Someday maybe.

Let us know when you do.

Is it similar in cost to shipping a conventional bike?

I had a Catrike Speed for awhile. It was a lot of fun, but I did not like riding it on public roads. I always felt I was about ready to get squashed.

I've got one wrapped in a tarp under the house. I rode it halfway across Missouri on the Katy. I rode it a little bit on the streets in a small city of ~100k people. No driver ever saw me.

Plus you couldn't stand on the pedals to take chatter out of a road or trail. You just had to sit there & take it. No thanks.

Hmmm, good points, I've never owned one. I thought maybe a couple of flags might address the visibility issue but perhaps I need to ride one first to see if is as comfortable as it looks.

Thanks.

It was tremendously comfy as long as the riding surface was glass-smooth. And tilties were fun....
