Suggestions...

Well this sounds better and better!

I'll try to plot your suggestions to a map and see what the snail's trail will look like.

As for Norseman; it is named after a horse, so I don't think we should look for too many similarities. Probably more authentic than Solvang, California, the "danish" city. It was tacky. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solvang,_California

Cheers!

Tent or B&B ?

That middle part looks fairly desolate!?

Are there B&Bs or similar at some interval, or will I be better off tenting on the way? Are the prices tourist-scale, or affordable along the way?

I tried getting info off the state tourist board, but they haven't replied... :-(

Plenty of campsites along the way. I'ts only 2 days accross the paddock. All the roadhouses have camping areas and the food in the restaurants is pretty good.

The trip from Pt Augusta to Ceduna via Pt Lincoln incorporates some of the best coastline and fishing spots in Oz - cannot be missed. I'm sure that ozbikedude could talk about the seafood out of Ceduna...

I just got back from Nullarbor/Gilgerabbie/Yalata. Bit warm out there so take plenty of water.

Do part of the old rd for shits & giggles, get a camping permit from the parks office in Ceduna & stay out at the old Koonalda station or Gilgerabbie hut (May be closed).

It's awesome out there, crossed the paddock numerous times & it never gets boring. Free camping is a piece of cake, but if you want a bit of civilisation stay at Madura Pass.
