Good luck. Ride safe. Enjoy every mile because some day you will look back and it will seem like a dream... If you make it to TEXAS, you have a place to stay in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Another trip report with two guys on bikes poorly equiped for the journey, with no money, having to work along the way with obviously no clue what they really are doing.

You can bet your ass I am in, that is my friends what adventure is

Great story. I know one can travel with very little money camping every day and sometimes people invite you for a nice meal but for things like visa and ferrys/flights you will need money and shiping your vespas from one continent to another will be even more expensive then to buy other bikes there. I traveled two years around Afrika for very little 5000 Euro and one year around South America for as little as 3000 Euro (because i did not ship my bike but bought a 125 there) so im looking forward to see how you solve this problems...

Yes I'm also thinking to sell my Vespa if I cannot find a really cheap way to send it to America!

When you get to Philadelphia drop me a note.
I have a hot shower, clean sheets and anything else you might need.
Good luck and I hope to see you all in the States!

Thanks for the invitation!!!
I really want to visit the States, but probably it's gonna take a long time.
I want to reach Cape Town and from there ship my Vespa to south America.
Thanks anyway, I'll message you when/if I am there.

Now I'm in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The last days my Vespa was not working!
The problem was in the stator plate and thanks to scootershop.gr that made the diagnosis via...telephone (!), I had the new spare parts shipped here in Yaounde, I changed them and I'm ready to go! Kostas and Themis, you are my Vespa Gods ! ! !

Hello from Lubumbashi!

Here is a small video with some highlights during the trip from Souanke (Congo Brazzaville) to Idiofa (Congo Kinshasa).
Both Congos are great countries!!!
Beautifull with really awesome - friendly people!!!
Maybe I miss the Greek islands but I don't miss the sand! And that's for sure!
