did you explain to her that bikers wave at each other, ya... but IF ITS A PRETTY GIRRRRRRRL UNDER THE HELMET we'll generally jump fences, cross creeks on fire, and dive out of airplanes just to get a glimpse of their pretty smile enjoying the ride ?

congrats on her first time out, many more

Update-

Girl friend bought herself a new helmet, is all geeked to take a MSF class in the spring with her friend (the SO of another inmate), and asked me to find her a decent starter bike.

And we had another 100 mile ride last Saturday

She has definitely found that us guys will parachute from a perfectly good airplane into a burning pool of fire in exchange for a chance at a smile. Luckily, she rarely uses this power.

As an old guy, I get more smiles, waves, and requests for "rides" while piloting the rig from PYT's (pretty young things) than I ever get riding the bike.

Novelty or maybe looking quaint and almost harmless, but whatever the reason, chicks dig sidecars.

My wife prefers this hands down to pillion, it seems more like strolling hand in hand as opposed to hanging on for dear life.

We still have a pair of off road Rokons and an XT250 for solo 2 wheel fun, but the rigs rule.

Waiving Hand's

My Brother who has piloted my hacks but never owned one comes to me and says "hey, did you know everyone waives at you when you are on a sidecar" ?

I had to esplain to him that when he was piloting my rig's, his attention was all about returning my rig to me safely. Now that he has his new to him 2012 Ural GU and his head is processing more info, I told him he will notice dang near everyone is waiving at you and the passenger. I told him dog's attract women in sidecar's. Many of them with Blue hair. So I think he is going to train his cat to ride along

This thread leads me to think my bike I take to collage needs a sidecar, you know, for practicality.

Women dig sidecars. I have had a few encounters with my Ural. It's a magnet for people in general. I've had two women at the same time ride with me. One sits behind me and the other in the sidecar. I've been riding motorcycles for over 40 years. My Ural is the most fun I've ever had with a motorcycle. It is great for what it is. If I want speed, I'll ride my 650 Yamaha... A tool for every job....

Hey Ural you might want to consider this

A two pix ad, 1st pix of a guy driving out in the country w/ his girl basket neatly on back rack. Both grinning a bit.
2nd Pix
She is driving back, blouse missed bottomed, long hair flying around, eyes wild, basket lid open & stuff flying out………..he's asleep in the sc….also smiling.

Update-

I've not made the time to write up a RR. Girlfriend & I took a 7 day 900 mile around northern Lake Michigan and turned it into a 9 day, 1800 mile trip.

GF

Not GF (Too cute kid at the campground REALLY wanted a ride. Her dad is now doomed.)
