Post TAT bike shipping and flight home

Doing the TAT this September beginning to end ( Port Orford Oregon).Trying to figure out the logistics of where to drop the bike off for shipment home and getting to airport for flight to Detroit.Riding it home Isn't an option because of the time involved.Any suggestions from you folks in the PNW region would be greatly appreciated!

Hey brother

If you end up around Portland for shipping and flight, I can help if you need transportation of your self or bike, or if you need a place to be for a few days. IBEW125

Port Orford is pretty tiny and very remote, as are most of the Oregon Coast towns - which is one thing that makes the Oregon Coast so nice. You might be better served to take an additional 2 days and ride up the Oregon Coast to Portland, which has a large regional airport and deal with it there.

The Oregon Coast ride is very nice and would make a nice cool down ride after the dry, hot TAT. The State Parks along the coast are all full facilties (Showers!), but get there earlier in the day to avoid full campgrounds during peak seasons. You will also have RV traffic to deal with, but it's usually not a big deal unless you are in a hurry. Head inland into the coast range and you'll find free camping all over, but beware, the Coast Range can be very rugged in places and often has areas closed to logging/fire danger if you "Make your own route".

Ride up to HWY 18 or HWY 20 to find ways to avoid the I5 Interstate in order to get to Portland International Airport.
