The firewall here at work only let me see the pic with him in bed with the cut up suit, I haven't seen the car. I purchased a new Simpson suit last summer and I'm still paying for it,(someone else payed for the car we flipped ).

Hehe, Iīm gathering offers

But the Rallyemarket is not that big (KTM 450, 690 RR, GASGAS 450 RAID, Yamaha with JVO, etc.)
So in my opinion the Honda Rally 450 is a enrichment for the "market", but doesnīt go for under 16k.

I would use it mostly for Dualsport purpose and max. 1 rally a year. So Iīm tending more to the Defy Quest Kit from KTM Basel. And the good think is, you can bolt it on a 690EnduroR.

I got the oppertunity to buy a Mecasystem-kit for my 450EXC RFS a while ago, but I didnīt go for it (afterwards a big mistake).
With my RFS i participated in the Intercontinental Rally ī14, made it to finish without even 1 Bolt got lose. Ok, I wasnīt the fastest but thatīs not the point, the old RFS engine is just top-notch.

Nothing in the rules says you have to stay on the ground the whole time does it?!

Navigation would be tricky though , but what an excellent idea. You may get some penalties for missing waypoints, but for sure one would set the fastest stage times ever
It would be nice to see the orga people flying with these things all over the place

Yep...

ART 285. FIA general prescriptions for T1 (modified) cross country vehicles:

Mechanically propelled single engine land vehicles, with 4 to 8 (max) wheels, propelled by their own means, taking continually a real bearing on the ground and of which the propelling device and steering are controlled by the driver on board each vehicle.

These cars may be unit built (prototype) but must comply to the International Convention on Road Traffic, particularly with regards to following points, windscreens/wipers/washers, speedometers, lighting/indicators etc.

Ha - I'm sure Rubby could argue his way out of that one "But the parachute is only to aid braking, nothing else..." ;o)

good point, you could be onto something afterall Jen... Bet there's some potential for RG to ditch the parachute altogether and run a downforce fan/hovercraft skirt on the Gordini and thereby harness all of the surplus hot air from the cockpit...
