Took the big girl for a sandy ride in the pines did good apart from the fact that the kickstand would sink in 

Wow! Lot's of inspiration in this thread. I picked up my '93 last September as a post divorce gift (reward?) to myself 3 days after it was final. Love this thing and my FJR has been basically collecting dust since!

The day I brought it home, yes I know my yard looked like crap.

2 weeks later ready, and gone, for a multiple day camping trip with a few other KLR's.

How is it working out for you? I don't want to cut out that reinforcement in the lid and find I have a wobbly unsafe box on the back of my beautiful and functional KLR.
The cut out has worked fine, the plastic is fairly stiff anyway, I have had the packer full and another dry bag strapped on top with no issues.

Is that bedliner material or rhino lining? Or a crinkle black paint job? Either way, that looks great!

Just brought mine home today. 22 miles on it so far, and it's already gotten wet and a little muddy from the ride home.
