Spent most of the day on Saturday at Riverview in Waterloo. The weather was great and it was my first time really testing my new XR650 off road. I really put her through the paces, and she performed better than I could have hoped. I'll have a video up on youtube in the next few days, but in the mean time here's a screen shot:

Anyone care to guess how I came out?

My guess is, you flipped it, went over the fence into the steamy burning yardwaste?

BTW, I work at the Wastewater Treatment plant right next door to Riverview.

I climb that hill too. But not like you!

Want some real hill climbs? Go to Bluff Creek!

That'd be a hell of a flip to land over the fence!

Did you get out to the park on Saturday? By the afternoon, I'd swear that everyone within a 100 miles that owned a dirtbike was there. The parking lot was packed!

Yeah, why make it easy?!?!

I actually live closer to Bluff Creek than Riverview. But, have you ever been there after it's rained all week? I did that once. That place is unrideable when it's wet. That clay sticks to everything and makes your tires have the traction of wet snot. It's just no fun!

But, on a dry day? Yeah, it's my favorite OHV park in IA.

OK, so that little hill climb had an path that was cut into the hill a little bit. At the top, if you go off the path, you hit a vertical-ish wall. At about :19 seconds in, I veer off to the right of the path. Instead of going up the vertical part, I just bailed and tipped over. Well, at :35 secs, I try again and get knocked to the right again. Not wanting to drag my bike down the hill again, I gunned it and hoped for the best.

I met one of you cats in Cedar Falls at a racing meeting last evening. I can't recall your user name. Who is the guilty party?

Went out and played around on the gravel and dirt roads of Dallas and Madison county yesterday on the Husky.
That bike has a bad habit of inducing rule breaking...

Then I rode to work today...walking in to the office with my helmet in my hand and in my full Power Ranger attire, first person that sees me, "You ride the bike today?" My reply: Nope...just wanted to be extra safe in the car.

When I get that question, I usually say, "No. I just brought the helmet in because we have a particularly difficult meeting later today."

These are great! (I'm taking notes) Why is it that this same question comes up in nearly every office? If I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, sometimes I'll answer with another question- "was that rhetorical?"
