Any of these Honda two strokes still around? I remember a TLM260 at a few events back in the day but otherwise pretty rare, at least in North America.
Just before the Honda-Montesa hookup happened I think.

Very nice bikes, these Honda two strokes, rides better then any TLR in my personal opinion,
(like a RTL with less strokes) but as you said rare and used bikes are expensive:

You find them - sometimes - on display, here is one: http://www.subito.it/moto-e-scooter/...a-86477693.htm

So, two weeks ago I went to my first vintage trails. I had an absolute blast, rode my modern bike (hey I'm still vintage), and met some great people. I saw some cool bikes that kind of took me back to the days when the local Yamaha shop had to run me out of there after school 2-3days a week and viola, this followed me home

She needs a bath and some work on the clutch cable or lever, but is so original that I can see some of the dealer stickers still on them (Bobby J's the oldest Yamaha dealer in the USA)
I look forward to getting back in the shed with her this afternoon after work
PS I am still a trials noob, tried one for the first time in June last year, this is addicting.
PPS. This bike still has the autolube tank and pump in it (at least the cable is going to where the pump should be) but the p/o was running premix. should I go in and take the pump out? try running it with the system? Thanks.

A good friend will take you trail riding, an ADV friend will double back and say, "how did you get down there?"

Nice score, Beefstick!

If it were me, I'd only try the autoluber if I had a burning desire to do a top-end overhaul on the bike. Never have been a fan of those (saw multiples of them fail in my tenure in the bike industry). Using premix, you get the same fuel/oil ratio with every engine revolution and not relying on the vagarities of a plastic-geared pump. The PO was using premix for a reason, I'm guessing. I'd stick with it.

You really need to get out of the trials forum once in awhile!

Nice find Beef706. I have a couple TY250's, moved to Pagosa Springs last summer and have been to busy on the house. I missed San Yo but I am going to try and make Sipapu.

Check out the thread I started a couple years ago.

My Grandfathers old Montesa 348 cota. The bike I learnt to ride on 30 years ago.
Just spending some quality time getting it back running again.
Not finished but by tomorrow night I should be able to ride it again. Can't wait!

My husband and I have been working on my TL125 some lately.

Here it is the day we bought it at the 2013 Vintage Festival at Barber. It was in rough shape:

We cleaned up the wheels and added new spokes, cleaned up the shocks, added a new carb, side covers and a rear fender.

I didn't want to stop riding it long enough to fix up its dented and leaky tank, so I found a spare tank on eBay which needed stripping, brazing, body work and paint. We weren't too keen on paying for the blue candy paint, so our local auto paint store added tint to some clear, which simulates the candy very nicely. Next we'll restore the original tank to keep as a spare, or since we have a spare TL frame, may build a whole other bike.

We've still got some more to do to it, but here's a pic of the bike from this past weekend:

I'm having so much fun with this bike! One of my scorecards from a vintage event this past Saturday:
