They usually have a big radial, not a turbine, and certainly not floats!! Reminds me of seeing a Twin Otter and/or a DC-3 on floats!!

A couple years ago we had a small fire near town. I sat on my deck and watch a fourship of these guys dropping water for an hour. Nearest water in the direction they were circuiting was the lake about 2 miles away. They did constant circuits fill/dump then climb and spot for the next plane then fill again. Amazing how effective and coordinated and quickly they worked. Always one filling/ one on long approach/ one dumping and one spotting, constant rotation. a lot like watching kids at play, must be the most fun you can have with an airplane and not get shot at.

Robbins AFB Museum near Macon GA. Well worth a visit if you're traveling thru Middle Georgia.

Sorry for the finger photo bomb. I'm usually not that stupid.

Lancaster!

Believe there are only 2 left flying in the world. One in the UK and I think one in Canada. Yea, my old man flew 39 missions in one.

Photos I took of Colby Elkins jumping over pilot Skip Stewert at the 2014 Cameron Missouri Airshow. He did it twice both times awesome. ... And yes he is grabbing the wing tip of the plane.

You can see a video clip of it here.

They wouldn't let me bring the bike into the hanger, but here is a mint TBM Avenger that I thought some of you might enjoy seeing.

Ag plane was out spraying while I was riding this morning. Didn't want to get much closer, I could already smell the chemicals and didn't want to be sprayed.
