Cool. I like it in all red--it really stands out. My boss has a blue one that needs a complete restoration.

You guys have got me thinking of looking for an old small-bore and do something similar up my way with organized tiddler bike rides.
I'm too easily influenced.

Vtwin your bike looks great. You did a nice job.

That red SL90 looks familiar. Is the owner a member on here? I know I've seen that bike either here or on Thumpertalk--probably here.
Well, it conked out several times, but made it back on it's own power. Tried to start it this morning and no luck, so maybe the coils are bad. Will look into it tomorrow.

An update on the Stinger: It looks like it was just residual crud clogging up the lower portion of the petcock. Hence the reason it would run with a full tank. I've cleaned it out and drained and filtered the gas, so I hope I've fixed it.

Ok, I've been told by others that these little two strokes are noisy, but it seems this one had a bit of a knock on acceleration and developing bearing noise.

I decided to tear it down once more to settle the nagging feeling of impending doom. Brought the crank to PorscheDave and he gave it a clean bill of health, so that done. I tore it down and checked the bearings. This is all I could find.

Pits in the end of the countershaft where the roller bearings ride. Seems to make sense since the noise was on this side.

Good thing I have three engines and was able to get the best countershaft of the three. I had to disassemble the clutch and housing. I don't have the special tool to remove and install the clutch spring pins, so I improvised.

You have to line up the dots.

And it's back together.

Just need to cut the string and it's done.

I forgot to mention in the couple of pictures, I had broken one of the clutch hub fingers and didn't realize until I had it together. Did I mention I'm glad I have three of these engines? So this weekend is dedicated to getting the engine back together again.

The previous weekend we had the Auburn Show.

Loaded up ready to go.

Benicia Bridge.

Mothball fleet is a lot smaller than the last time I came through here.

Cool old rod.

The railroad bridge signifies my exit is coming up.

We made it!

This was a nice bike and not too off the price, especially since he was willing to deal.

Some of the bikes for sale

Roger and Greg's swap meet tent.

Yes, that fan was needed, it was nearly 100 degrees.

We were lucky this year as our organizers were able to get the indoor building that was air conditioned!

Featured marque this year.

Sorry for having the shakes when taking this photo, not enough coffee for the day.

This was stunning.

Andreas' "rider".

I have an obvious soft spot for Suzukis.

My Stinger getting tough competition from some beautiful bikes.
