Been working on our 81GS850L, last couple mechanical parts are on the way. 73,000 single family miles, and she should be running again soon.

Killer photo of a killa' machine busa1300. This bike has had me for years, and irresistible modded like this. Must have. Seriously.

I think this old Kat was pulled out of a field and is a prime example of what the Arizona sun does to an unkempt motorcycle. It was delivered to my pal TJ Jackson for a rebuild quote. I'd wager that'll be a pricy deal. Still, the bike retains a rugged charm...beat, but not beaten. It'll live again!

1978 GS1000E at Vegas, Jan 2013. A pristine stocker in the most desirable trim.

Nolan, two of my favorite big GS's! Nice pics. The field worn Kat is great followed by the pristine skunk. -Sean

However Nolan, I respectfully must disagree with your "most desirable trim" comment.

Can't argue regarding the Cooley Sean! I get it...and I know you get the appeal of the Skunk. It's timeless; on par with the first CB-Four, Z1, etc.

I have some nice pics of the Japan-only GS12 that I lifted off the net. I'll share them soon-

Nolan,

You know I had to just give you a little sh*t about that. We are in complete agreement about the Skunk. In fact I need one to ride so that I ride my Cooley less. They are awesome bikes to ride and tour on. My 1000SN gets 50MPG in stock trim to boot.

Post up the GS12 pics. Great bike!

Some unreal bikes in this thread!

I just inherited this little GS from my step-dad a few weeks ago. Pretty amazing condition for an unrestored bike, no? No dents, dings or damage anywhere. Side cover screws not shown in pictures, but I have them, just not attached when pictures were taken tonight.
