We had made the decision to bypass West Fork Morgan before hand and headed back about the same place you did then up to Lick Creek

It looks like we you turned around at the same place we did. We did see you tracks where you went past the turn off for Lick Creek and turned around, we did exactly the same thing.

Once we turned around on Lick Creek we carried on back upt o Van Horne and Corral creek over to Alder and Hat
Lake trails which went on and on.

It looks and sounds like we did both turn around at exactly the same spot on Lick Creek. The climb out of that first switchback across the creek was pretty loose. Eldo was all

On the West Fork of the Morgan Creek you turned SE off the trail and onto the dirt road, where we turned left to the NW and went another 4.25 miles to the end of the trail. I believe there was a dear leg laying in the road at this intersection if you saw it. The portion of trail from the West Fork Lakes and beyond is what I am interested in hearing about. If you do hear any reports please let me know of them.

CP 27 was by the water and had those logs laying on the ground in the shape of a square and if you looked close there was a frying pad attached to a tree at eye level. Someone catches and cooks some fish out there I guess. *If this makes no sense then I'm probably thinking of another point.. lol***

Not a through track so you came out the way you went in but the rest of the original track was rideable when I went through.

Sidehilling for days baby!

Vic did the full original CP day 4 route as well and also reported how dangerous it was...dont look down and dont make a mistake inspite of the advanced technical trail.

Sorry Pizzaman, not trying to thread jack here.

Being on the road for so long and not being a member of FBook I didn't have some of the updated re-routes. I did get the early updates to 3 and 4 but not the later stuff.

I'm sure it caused more work here and there but I managed.

I'll write more in my report when I get back home later in September.

Congrats to all those who have completed or attempted the T1 this year!

I'll be leaving Battle Mountain, NV today headed toward the Conti Divide.
You can follow along in the above attached link.

Now back to you Pizza!!!

SV

*note* I have not spoke with Martin about my attempt yet as I'm still on the road. So my ride is not official nor in the books.

Hi SV!!!

Just caught up on your ride report and I have to say one thing: EPIC! Can't wait to hear more about your adventures. Keep it coming.

It sounds like we turned around at the same fish-cooking-camp on D4. I am only curious as to whether the trail actually goes through. It is now safe to say that if Vic backtracked it, the trail probably does not go through. :)

Carry on and stay dry!
