Thought I'd give this a bump. Contents of bag is extensive collection of must have items that someone is really bound to miss. Would like to find the rightful owner

Craigslist add maybe?

Found a nieghbors dog one time and brought him to his home, they had taken him to a nearby ranch to work him and that's where he was supposed to be!

Because none of us would ever have this happen. I think the lesson here is, never be the last guy on a group ride, unless you carry everything in a backpack, since you'll definitely know when that falls off

He noticed and posted in the Palouse thread in case someone in the area came across it:

He's a nice guy with a lot of MT/ID knowledge if you ever need it. I'm glad he is getting it back.

Tip: Put your name and address on the outside (tire) side of the pannier, makes it a lot easier for the finder to contact the loser. That's how I got my lost pannier back….thank, Del.

Looks like different gear and loss location for Wansfel:
Quote:
Did a solo across from Lochsa/US 12 to St. Regis Sunday/Monday. Great country. But when I got out at St. Regis, I noticed no right side pannier. Would appreciate keeping an eye out by intrepid voyagers should you get out to those neck of the woods in the near future. An HT Mojave soft pannier - black holding tire pump, tools, first aid, tubes (one bad) and other misc items.

Looking at my pictures, I pinned the location down to a 4 mile stretch back from the junction of 715 and 320 on 715 to a rock slide area. Now you see it now you don't. Left word this morning with the Panhandle USFS St. Maries HQ.
I once had a borrowed very expensive sleeping bag work its way out of my gear , sucks to get to buy a very good sleeping bag that way and had to buy another one in Pincher Creek, Alberta too.
