2 GB microSD/Transflash AVAILABLE

Verizon is now selling the 2 GB microSD cards
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...757&market=All

Price is still high at $99.99. Price should come down as the cards become more available.

I assume that these would fit in a Garmin GPS?

Correct. The "x" series units use the mircrSD, also known as Trashflash.

Looks like Verizon has exclusive distribution rights for 60 days. So far it is pretty much just Cell Phones that use these. Once they start putting them in digicams, more options should be available.

FWIW: 1 gig cards for $25.00 with rebate.
I have never dealt with the retailer.

A LOT of maps will fit on a 1 gig card.

Of course, just last week I paid $44.00 for the same thing.

These are NOT microSD cards and will NOT work in the "x" series units

Yes, you are absolutely right, I messed up. I was looking for memory for another device and got turned around. I am sorry I mislead anyone.

Further down the page is the 1 gig Micro SD for $45.
