Scooter Recommendation

SWMBO has offered that it would be fun to learn to ride. I was wondering if anyone mfg a scooter with a manual transmission, to facilitate an easier transition to a more traditional ride later on?

A Stella or a Bajaj Chetak, or Vespa PX-150

Or any older Vespa.
It seemed to me that the earth may he borrowed but not bought. It may be used but not owned. It gives itself in response to love and tending.... But we are tenants and not possessors, lovers and not masters.

A Yamaha TW200 is a motorcycle, but little and looks like fun. One you might end up fighting over the keys.
