Thanks to everyone and their nice comments. I am glad I got to share the memory with those who understand. It really feels good to contribute to the Ride Reports forum to inspire others. I know many of the reports have inspired me. I think this section more than any other on the website really captures the true spirit of Advrider. To many more rides!

If I had to live somewhere else besides AK
It would have to be Colorado. Treeline up here isn't 10000 feet though, more like 3000. There's a quote that i learned in a Wilderness Survival class I took in high school-"from the mountain, you can see the mountain". It certainly applies here. Great work, E-dog.:): :):
