I has paid, dammit! Last night, it was freezing in my house, and I was near to passing out because it was late, and I got out of bed to check this thread to see if feesch, formerly known as the artist XRMATTAZ, had sold them to us or someone else, and he had them for us and I paid, and then I took my shivering self back to bed and slept well knowing that I had supported the global economy on a very small scale. to me, Wintonio the Great and the Naughty and the Sometimes Vindictive

mounting tips?

nOOB here, and not much of a mechanic. I have a r1200gs. Any helpful hints on how to mount these bargain Hellas, without spending Big$$ on a light bar?

Thanks!

I haven't read the Gspot in a while, but I do know there are some articles on how to make your own light bar for the 12GS. I guess it all depends on how aesthetic you want it to look. Some people put them off the forks, you could hang them off the crash bars.

You could just buy a roll of duct tape and have at it...

Thanks, wintonio. I have looked at the threads on fabbing your own light bars, etc.

I can do complicated financial calculations, but working with metal looks like brain surgery to me.

It might be duct tape time...

The Install Pics

you may, as soon as I get the damn things installed. As per the suggestion of someone, I cannot remember who, I have ordered some of the brackets that hold the engine guard onto the PD's, and will install them on the 'Roo bar. My cheap ass even sprung for a hazard switch, so's i can put the on/off on the dash.

now then, when I ever get the parts from Max BMW ( I ordered last night) I will install, and provide plenty O' piccies... Hell, I might even be kind enough to change my avatar to something not gross or disturbing

BTW, Rapid Dog, what kind of HID's did you get for $128, AND, did you get the Omega or the Enduralast? And who's this Emmanual the Peanut Guy you bought stuff from? Does he sell things, or was he getting rid of some stuff?

answer man

I got the dealio off EBAY

That said, there is much wiring to do with all your trying to get at once, but I just did it myself so I'll try and post at the thread Look What I Got Today where you axed the question....

I got the Omega system from Peanut Guy, he was parting out his GS, I really like the looks of the Enduralast i must admit.

TT HID Brackets

I arsked the dude at TT in Seattle if the mounting brackets for those sooper dooper HIDs they have are available separetely...evidently the weather is getting to him..

"simple answer, No. If it is a warranty, or crash replacement then maybe.
We would rather not sell brackets so other people can mount there own
lights."
