accessory socket on 92 GSPD?

I can't seem to find it, or if it's missing, where its location or mounting point should be. is the bike supposed to even have one right from the factory? thanks.

Yes, it should have one.

It's either on the left or on the right side of the bike, close to the side covers. In the picture below (my 1990 GS), it's visible between the air filter and the frame.

Hey thanks Joerg. But I can't seem to make out the picture clearly. I can see it but not how it's mounted. Is there a hole or provision to insert the socket on the frame? Is it hanging onto something?

Talking 93 is on the left

Mines a 93 R100GSPD and it is on the left hand side.

That is normal. The picture is on my website and is intended to show mainly the rear shock

There is an L-shaped mounting bracket that is itself bolted to the frame.

On my two airheads, it's on the left under the battery box.

The L Shape Bracket

Recently while replacing the transmission I bent that bracket. BMW no longer makes one that is speific to the GS but sells an airhead generic kit thant oin my GS does not fit as well as the original.
