dual disk pricing help?

So, I've got this dual disk set up from Wuedo which I'm gonna sell. Friend of mine thinks he wants it, but I have no idea what to charge..

I'm selling it used with both complete forks, EBC floating rotors, two Brembo calipers, two sets of new pads, and the lines.

Thoughts on what this might be worth on the open market??

I guess it depends on how good a friend he is. My guess is that you'd be smart to ask $700-$800 for it. In fact, I'd offer you that myself iffin' I had it. That setup would go a long way toward making my old R90 into a poor man's GS.

well, yeah

I'm willing to give him first dibs.. and a deal.

But in order to figure out what a deal would be.. kinda need to know what the heck it's worth.

Thanks.

When you don't see this stuff up for sale, ever, it's hard to compare. So you have to compare it to something somewhat comparable. And there's not much of that out there either. To convert the 100GS to dual disc requires another disc, caliper, lines, and modified fork leg. Just guessing, that's gotta be worth five or six hundred right there.

Look up the cost of the discs alone (guessing over $200 each) about $80 for a new caliper, $20/disc for pads, modified fork leg...??? couple hundred??, then factor in that it's used (how used?), and the fact this stuff is desirable...

Used stuff normally goes for somewhere between half of new and up. In the case of desirable, you're talking more like 70% or more.

Like the old saying goes: it's worth what someone is willing to pay.

You'll only know just how much it's worth when no one buys it, then you must be asking too much.

You've asked a tough question, but I think Bigger Al nailed it.

Wicked Deal?

If a friend offered me this setup for $750, I would take it and still consider us friends.

If doesn't want it, send me a PM.

thanks

Just offered the setup to my buddy. If he don't want it, I will post it in flea market and go from there.

in the flea market

my friend passed on my dual disk setup, as he is in the process of setting up a motor cruising business in Alaska, and needs to buy a few thousand gallons of diesel next week...

I've posted it here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=215679

FYI: Sold

Just sold it to another ADV guy. Conveniently (and unknown until we talked an hour ago) he lives about five blocks from me. Saves on the shipping costs.
