'06 Ride Around Lake Superior

I rebuilt this '66 305 Scrambler for a ride and camping trip around Lake Superior in July, '06. It was the 40th anniversay of a similar trip my brother-in-law took on his then new Scrambler.
I also rode this bike at the Mid-Ohio Vintage Days event.

I just started looking around at this site. Looking for ideas to plan my next trip on my current Scrambler...XR650L.

Pic Problems & Camping around Lake Erie

I tried to attach a jpeg but no go...........help! Lake Erie is a shallow lake with good fishing........not much for terrain and views other than Niagra Falls and the Canadian side.......The Pennsylvania border of the lake has bluffs and inland terrain with numerous back roads and a large forestry area. July August & September have the least rain days. Check out the ORV trail maps for each state.

One of my favorite motorcycle trips ever was the Lake Superior Circle Tour. Good for you doing it on an old bike!

I rode around Superior in 72 on a Suzuki 350 Rebel, loaded down with army surplus camping equipment, including a cast iron frying pan. Had a great time.
If camping try to get a lake side camp site at Rainbow Falls Provincial park, just north east of Thunder Bay.
